Artist Bio

Martin Kollar (1971) Born in Zilina in Czechoslovakia (now Slovak Republic), studied at the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava, the Film faculty, camera department. He has been working as a freelance photographer and cinematographer since he has been graduated there.

Kollar used to work on long term projects. He received several grants and awards, among others 3ppp photo-stipend, World press photo Joop Swart masterclass, Oscar Barnac Award, honorable mention, SCAM Rodger Pic award, Fuji Film Euro Press Photo Award and Backlight photography Award in Finland.

Member of Gallery and Agence VU in Paris since 2003
