Formotion and Passengers
Moving image. Reflections on the human condition in the city landscape that capture the frantic pace of life and overlooked moments of tranquillity.
Artist Statement
Formotion is a single-screen audio-visual piece exploring the structural forms and figurative movements of a city landscape. The work seeks to capture both the frantic pace of city life and often-overlooked moments of tranquillity.
The work combines actual speed, fast and reverse motion, to create a rhythm and structure that comments on the relationship between the urban inhabitants and their surroundings.
In Passengers Pell uses looped images and sounds as a means to reflect on the human condition within a city landscape. The video takes the viewer on a journey through a hectic and unyielding urban environment.
