Sue Steward

Sue Steward has a diverse career spread across many areas of the creative industries. She currently works as a writer, radio broadcaster, photo-editor and curator specialising in Photography and other Visual Arts, and World Music. She is the Photography Critic for The Evening Standard and for BBC Radio2’s Arts Magazine with Claudia Winkleman, and a reviewer for Radio3’s “World Routes.” She writes on Photography for the leading international arts website, theartsdesk.com, and for the British Journal of Photography and Eye magazine. She is a feature writer for broadsheets including the Daily Telegraph, Observer, Independent and Financial Times.

Beyond writing and radio work, she is a Trustee for the charity PhotoVoice, a founder member, judge and curator for the (Sony) World Photography Organization (and appeared in Vanity Fair magazine presenting a prize to winners of the WPO Student Focus, 2008). She is on the Steering Committee for the FORMAT 11 International Photography Festival. 

 

Sue is currently curating an exhibition of Latin American photography at the Edel Assanti Gallery in London, and is working on an educational project with The Photography Club in Muscat, Oman.
