HAND COLOURED PHOTOGRAPHS

Join Us for a two-day workshop, with photographer, master printer and author Andrew Sanderson, who leads traditional workshops on hand colouring Black and White Prints.

In response to the People, Places and Things exhibition we are running a two-day masterclass on hand colouring black and white photographs a traditional technique linking back to the early days of photography.

This technique was very popular in the late 1800s until mid-1900s, working with artist photographer Andrew Sanderson you will print from negatives at the Photo Parlour Darkroom in Nottingham, and the second day colour on top of those prints at QUAD in Derby.

You will need to bring your own negatives alternatively speak to the organisers to source some.
