PHOTOFORUM: Farhad Berahman

Farhad started as an Associated Press photographer in UAE and was shortlisted in 2009 for a World Press Photo award. His work has been published by the BBC; AP; The New York Times; The Guardian; The Washington Post.
Recently, Farhad took part in the Digital Artist Training Programme at QUAD, from the work he developed on that programme he has gone on to have two successful Arts Council England funding bids, to make interactive photography work about his experience as an Iranian artist in Britain working with refugees. This work was shown at FORMAT17 and has toured Europe, and more recently he has created Afghan Camera Box (Kamra-e-faoree) which was shown at TATE this year.


QUAD is the FORMAT HQ, and houses the FORMAT info point. It is located in the heart of Derby's Cathedral Quarter in the Market Place.
