12th March 11am – 4pm
Photography day hosted by the Guardian Picture Desk
A talk and discussion looking at photojournalism, photo editing and photography in the public realm with award-winning Guardian investigative reporters and pitcure editors who have been involved in the issues in relation to privacy and surveillance on the streets. Joined by Guardian photographers to discuss what it's like for a press photographer working on the streets today, Guardian Head of Photography Roger Tooth will give illustrated talk on how a picture desk works in the digital age, followed by a Q&A.
There will be time for portfolio reviews by a team of Guardian editors and photographers followed by a Q&A session about the Guardian Camera Club. So come along with your portfolio or just come to discuss or hear about the current role and contemporary issues of picture editing and photojournalism.
