There is an absence of vital signs and a sense of the uncanny that permeates the silence of these photographs. The scenes seem to have an uneasy absence, as if a black hole has manifested near by causing traces and signs of life to be consumed. The sun has been replaced by a mysterious source of lighting, pushing back the blackness of the night. All signs that symbolise the ambience of a holiday beach are missing.
