Diarmait Grogan
Diarmait Grogan
Grounded in everyday experiences, these photographs represent Diarmait’s aim to engage meaningfully with the world around him as well as with the people who he encounters daily. Although his own sensibilities strongly affect the images, the photographs have the potential to resonate with the viewer on a personal level. Such a resonance is at the heart of any myth. The title ‘Personal Myths’ refers to the ambiguity of meaning that is inherent in all forms of communication. Above all, Diarmait’s work is concerned with creating links between private and familiar worlds and to express something of the simple poetry of everyday existence.
