Format is an International Photography Festival that takes place in the city of Derby, UK. Celebrating the diversity of Photographic practice from darkroom to digital, Format Festivals include work that engages with contemporary culture in social, political and pictorial terms . Established international practitioners exhibit alongside the best emerging talent with a supporting programme of commissions, conferences, workshop, education and professional development activity. Format aims to promote production and participation alongside the appreciation and understanding of photography across the widest possible audience.
