Zoe Childerley
This body of work focuses on the eroding of a traditional way of life of the Romany community, our oldest ethnic minority with Church records of their births, deaths and marriages dating back to the 15th Century. Initial documentary images were made whilst spending time with several families throughout the region.

They show a confidence, a defiant pride in their tenuously held heritage alongside a picture of assimilation.
