The climbing frames in this series sit rather awkwardly in their picturesque settings. In truth, the frames have been lifted from inner city environments and are invaders of the
countryside. Like Midwich Cuckoos they hope to go unnoticed but their presence is an intrusion; their incongruous forms signal broken defences and an unseen alien invasion.
