Bringing together the best in live music and visual technology, Trigger#5 is a unique event taking place at the Guildhall Theatre.

Featuring a select group of artists and musicians from across the region, Trigger#5 will play host to Nottingham based Ermajello who will perform Plankton, a piece which uses cutting edge audio/visual technologies and pioneering techniques to create a multi screen performance where images are directly influenced through music to creating a vivid and hypnotic experience.

Also playing are ‘The Dust Collectors’ from Derby who have worked with filmmaker Jon Samsworth during a residency at MACE (Media Archive of Central England) to create a combination of music, film, spoken-word and performance in a fiery exploration of power and myth.

Alongside both acts expect to see a kaleidoscope of live mixed visuals and animations, interwoven with bursts of sound from experimental DJ's and VJ's and spoken word artists from Derby and across the UK.

Trigger is a performance night that provides a platform for filmmakers, visual artists and performers to collaborate and produce new work or develop existing work. Trigger is also an opportunity for networking, exchange and experimentation between artists and artforms, organised by Q Arts/QUAD and Hunting for Teeth.
