What is Mob Format?
An opportunity for your photos to be part of the FORMAT09 festival in a constantly evolving gallery and online exhibition.
Under the title of Your PHOTOCINEMA there are 6 themes you can respond to. These are detailed on the site, approach them as literally or imaginatively as you choose. Submissions can be existing images from your archive or you can make new work specifically for Mob Format. All we ask is that you be creative and have fun!
Images submitted will feature in the Your PHOTOCINEMA gallery in the Format website. There will also be a Premium section where our panel of curators will select the best images to be printed out and exhibited as part of the main festival. Premium images will also be screened on Derby’s Big City Screen and as cinema trailers in QUAD.
Images submitted through Flickr will appear in the date order of which they were originally uploaded. Therefore if you are submitting a brand new image it should appear near the top of the page, but if you are submitting from your archive you may need to do a bit of searching to find it.(…of course you could always by-pass Flickr and submit directly through Your PHOTOCINEMA. These images will always go straight to the top of the page… but we didn’t tell you that…)
Submitting images is easy simply follow the link to Your PHOTOCINEMA pages and click Get Involved in the top toolbar.
