An epic journey in which the lead character changes, grows or improves over the course of the story, the cinematic equivalent of the classical heroic quest. Typically featuring views from car/ train windows of open landscape with big sky’s or urban sprawl with gas stations and motels. Submit photos from your own epic journey (even if it is only the bus ride to work).

Typically photographs taken on the set of a film for promotional purposes; they attempt to capture the essence of the film in a single frame. Submit your photos that look like they could be a scene from a movie; or, recreate your favourite cinema moment - maybe Psycho in your bathroom or Jaws in your garden pond.

From femme fatale to damsel in distress and avenging hero to arch villain, actors adopt a persona when they take on a role. This is your chance to dress up, get into character and strike a pose as your favourite film star. Submit photos of you or your friends in the guise of leading ladies and leading men. Or maybe you have met a film star. Submit your photos of real film stars greeting adoring fans on the red carpet or just walking the dog in the park (look-a-likes are most definitely welcome!)
Photo Story (flickr tag mobformat09_photostory)
A set or series of photographs often used by photojournalists or artists who sequence images to tell a story through a number of stills. In 5 images create a narrative sequence experiment with the ordering of images to be viewed in a particular order, or in an order chosen by the viewer. The sequence can contain either staged or encountered scenes. Submit your Photo Story in a maximum of 5 images.
